We recently signed up for the ButcherBox subscription service that delivers meats to your door every month. We got a great deal because they were running a promo at the time of our sign up, which tends to be pretty standard— I think they are offering up a free Turkey for subscribers these days! Check out our thoughts on the service and products below!
ButcherBox offers several different boxes to allow you to customize the types and amounts of meat that you receive monthly. We started with the standard mix box. It costs $129 per month, comes with Pork, Beef, Chicken, and Steak and everything is grass-fed and hormone free.
The box if charged and then shortly delivered days later and each month afterwards the same things happen on exactly those same days. It’s easy enough to change the type of box you want and when it is charged/delivered from your online account. This is a handy feature when you are planning on being out of town or end up with a surplus of meats for some other reason.
We’ve gotten the box a few times now and it is always a welcome and exciting opportunity at our house. The box always comes with standard ButcherBox ground beef and chicken. Then the steak and pork is different each month. We’ve receive pork sausage links, pork butt, spare ribs, and all different cuts of steak.
All of the items provided are quality cuts and products that are:
- 100% Grass-fed & Grass-finished Beef
- Heritage Breed Pork
- Free-range Organic Chicken
As we have settled in to our new house these past few months and gotten in to a rhythm with dinners and cooking, it’s been a welcome change to have an easily provided assortment of healthy meat options readily available!
